Beautiful Textures Luxury Vinyl Flooring Installed in a Dining Room

All Floor One recently installed luxury vinyl flooring for some clients who wanted new flooring in the dining room of their home. One side of the room included a long step. Having cleared the room of all the furniture, we started the installation process by fitting SP101 plywood over the existing wooden floorboards. It was fixed to British standards and feathered. It’s important to incorporate a layer of plywood to create a smooth, stable base for the luxury vinyl flooring to be put on top of. Unprepared wooden floorboards have irregularities such as bumps, gaps, and unevenness, which can cause visible imperfections as well as instability. Creating a plywood subfloor is an appropriate way to overcome this.

Once the plywood was in place, we were then ready to fit the luxury vinyl flooring. Our clients had chosen Textures LVT – Herringbone. A classic pattern that complements any space, we also included a straight plank border and feature strip, both of which nicely framed the shape of the room, following the line of it. You can see what the flooring looks like once in place from the photographs. The step is so discreet, now it’s also covered with the luxury vinyl flooring, you can hardly see it!
