As an LVT floor fitter in Sutton Coldfield, All Floor One was asked to install luxury vinyl flooring in the back room of a house in Sutton Coldfield. Before we fitted the LVT, we put down a layer of sp101 plywood fixed to British Standards, which was laid over a wood subfloor.
The next part of the process was to apply F Ball StopGap 1200 Smoothing Compound. This is the perfect product to ensure a sound internal subfloor that’s level and flat. It fills in low spots, imperfections, and unevenness to achieve a smooth base for the final flooring. Once the subfloor had been prepared, we were then able to fit the luxury vinyl flooring. Our clients had chosen Invictus Maximus Highland Oak Classic, which we laid in a herringbone pattern. We also included a two-brick border and a 5mm inlay strip. We used F Ball F48 High Temperature Grade Vinyl Adhesive to glue down the luxury vinyl flooring.
